Climate Action Week

13th - 19th October 2025 

Behavioural change and climate action are a fundamental part of our lives, 365 days of the year! But for one week in October, we want to switch the focus from fundamental to fun!

Climate Action Week, Ireland’s largest pop-up climate festival, has been coordinated by An Taisce since 2017, with the support of the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment. Our 9^th Climate Action Week festival is back from 13th - 19th October, with hundreds of exciting events, talks, hands-on activities and workshops being hosted by Local Authorities, community groups, organisations, colleges, schools, sports clubs and individuals around the country. All are welcome to get involved and to attend the many Climate Action Week events that tackle the climate crisis in exciting, fun-filled and empowering ways.

To enhance your Climate Action Week involvement and enjoyment, An Taisce’s Climate Action Team is delighted to announce the arrival of our brand new, low-carbon, dedicated Climate Action Week Website! 

www.climateactionweek.ie is a ‘one-stop-sustainable-shop’ for organisers to add and promote events and for the public to check out the calendar of events being hosted in their county and around the country! 

If you are hosting a public Climate Action Week event or events, we now invite you to add the details to the website as soon as possible, so that the event calendar can start to grow, as well as reflect your planning and hard work to date.  On the site, you'll also find lots of helpful event resources .
